About us

C-Quest Swim Safaris is a South African company who designs outbound swim tours for open water swimmers. 

Although C-Quest Swim Safaris is a brand-new venture, we pride ourselves with group tour design experience for 18 years. René Coetzee, who is the founder of C-Quest Swim Safaris, started designing scuba diving tours in 2004, while owning the C-Quest Diving scuba school in Bedfordview, South Africa.  The outbound scuba tours expanded to designing tours for other scuba centres, enabling René to change the scuba diving business model into a tour operation (C-Quest Diving Safaris).  Our dive centre clients then became our travel agents.

We have six designed swim destinations itineraries placed at the most interesting places around the world and in Africa, but should you have different destinations that you’d like to explore, we are more than happy to design a tour specifically for you and your group.  Our six designed destinations are:

1. Madagascar (same day flight)
2. Zanzibar (same day flight)
3. Egypt (overnight flight and a wonderful culture tumble – we go back time & time again)
4. Philippines (overnight flight and opportunity to spend time in Hong Kong)
5. Manado – Indonesia (overnight flight and like Madagascar, the best open water swimming practice space)
6. Maldives – (overnight flight and an opportunity to spend a few days in Dubai)

With regards to Covid interruptions:  C-Quest Swim Safaris works with the airline booked for the tour, and will postpone the tour to the year later, on the same date.  We are flexible with the postponement dates and work closely with our tour leaders with regards to airline updates and best times to postpone to.  We also sell mandatory Hollard travel insurance when the flights are purchased, to ensure that our tour members are ensured against flight extensions, picking up Covid before the tour or while on tour, repatriation, lock down extensions, supplier insolvency and many more.
