Room Detail
The lodge comprises 12 bungalows and one villa. Each of these “open-to-nature” thatched units displays crisp white walls and linen, contemporary beach-style décor and natural wooden elements which, collectively, evoke a sense of calm.
Deluxe Bungalows
The four Deluxe Bungalows have been designed in a variety of configurations, and all offer spectacular ocean views.
Average Bungalow Size: 35m²
Sleeps a maximum of two persons, complimentary coffee and teas, air conditioning, lounge area, terrace overlooking the ocean, en-suite bathroom, bathrobes and slippers, hairdryer, electronic safe, international plugs.
Superior Bungalows
The five Superior Bungalows, also designed in a variety of configurations, are larger than the Deluxe Bungalows and offer more exclusivity as well as stunning views.

Premium Bungalows
The three Premium Bungalows are situated on the beachfront and are more exclusive than the Superior Bungalows, although they share similar configurations.

Villa
The Villa is a privately staffed unit which offers complete privacy, breath-taking ocean views and an exclusive experience. It is perfect for families or honeymooners.

Dining in Zanzibar is a superb experience, made memorable not only by the beautiful surroundings but also by the exotic spices and unique flavours that are true to this region’s dishes. The lodge of our choice offers both half-board and full-board arrangements, but so many excursions and outside restaurants await exploration, that we suggest to book the bed-&-breakfast arrangement, or the half-board arrangement, to enjoy lunch on your afternoon excursion. While your privacy is of highest priority, al full catering service is brought right to the doorsteps of the bungalows and the villa. The lodge’s restaurant also offers dreamy views of the Indian Ocean’s turquoise waters. A variety of set menus and delightful, freshly prepared grills can be enjoyed while taking in the stunning setting.
Swahili nights, held on special occasions, provide guests with an unforgettable experience as they are guided through a sensory journey, enjoying traditional cuisine among historical palace ruins that are illuminated by flame torches. Romantic beach dinners, similarly set among these atmospheric ruins, are also available upon request.
About Zanzibar
Zanzibar is an archipelago, situated off the coast of Tanzania in East Africa and surrounded by the warm Indian Ocean. It comprises a number of small islands and two larger ones, namely Unguja – also informally referred to as Zanzibar – and Pemba Island. Zanzibar is fondly referred to as the “spice Islands” as the production of cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon and black pepper that takes place here.
Optional Excursions
One of the “must do” items is a visit to the Rock Restaurant. This excursion must be pre-booked via the Rock Restaurant’s website and your sitting will only start at 16:00. If you do not pre-book, there will be no space available. All the excursions can be arranged via the lodge, and we suggest you negotiate a group rate.
